When I was a young married woman with no children, people used to say to me: ‘When you have children, you have to take off all your decorations because your children will touch them and break them’.
"I have 4 children and I've never taken down my decoration."
FALSE!
I've also heard: ‘I can't decorate my house because my children are too small’. Decorating your home.
I don't really agree with that.
Discover the formulas in interior and event decoration:
1. Decorating your home: the theme is not children
Here the focus is not on children and how to ‘educate’ them, but on the environment you are going to provide for your children.
Watch the episode ‘Maison Ditaba decorates a living room and an entrance hall’ :
To come back to a remark made to me in the past, I have 4 children and I've never taken down my decoration. You're going to say ‘Well, Marie-Laure, your children are certainly very well-behaved’. Well, not any more than others.
2. Decorating the home: all children go through stages as they discover their environment
When they start crawling and when they start walking.
They seem to realise that a lot of things are now within their reach. They open cupboards, pull on the tablecloth with your favourite vase on it, play with the soil on your houseplants...
Read the testimonials of those who have placed their trust in us:
I went through all that with my children too. But I wanted to make them understand that there are limits and that certain objects must not be touched. So it does require a bit of vigilance at first, but you'll see that after 1 year, your child will be very respectful of decoration and household objects in general. He'll also be much more sensitive to beautiful things and you'll be able to pass on to him a taste for decoration.
3. Decorating your home: of course accidents can happen, and they can happen to adults too
On the other hand, you can opt for materials that do not break and are less dangerous, such as wood, copper, steel, aluminium, plexiglas, etc.
4. Decorating the house: a good idea is to get them involved in decorating the house too
Ideally from their bedroom. Frame their best drawings in a plexiglas frame, along with their creche and nursery school work. They'll be proud of them and it's a great way to introduce them to art.
So don't deprive yourself just because you have small children, on the contrary, get them in on the trend.
Take care of yourself and your home.
See you soon ✨ !
